Who is responsible

Sitecomb is a trading name of Sahbis Limited, a private company limited by shares, registered in Ireland under number 821013, registered office 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2, D02 XE80.

Sahbis Limited is the data controller. Write to hello@sitecomb.com about anything on this page.

Right now, before launch

Sitecomb isn't open yet. This site has no sign-up, no forms that send anything, no cookies and no analytics or advertising trackers.

Like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) briefly processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. We don't use that to identify you.

When you buy a report (from launch)

We collect the website address you want checked, the business name if you give one, your email address, and the payment details our payment provider needs.

We use them to run the check, deliver the report, send your receipt, and answer you if something goes wrong. The legal basis is the contract you ask us to perform, and, for receipts and accounts, our legal duties.

The check itself reads only public pages of the website, the way a visitor does. It doesn't log in, fill in forms or collect anyone's personal data from the site.

Who helps us

Stripe (payments, fraud prevention and sales tax), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Fly.io (the server that runs the checks), Resend (email delivery) and Google (our email inbox). Each only gets what it needs for its job.

Sitecomb serves customers worldwide, so some of these providers process data in other countries, including the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, it's protected by an adequacy decision or the standard contractual clauses approved for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Reports and the website address they cover: 12 months, so you can come back to your report, then deleted.

Your email address and order details: as long as needed for the report and support, then kept with our accounting records for 6 years, as Irish tax law requires.

Emails you send us: as long as needed to answer them, and no longer than 2 years.

What we never do

We never sell your data, never publish anyone's score but our own, and never use your email for marketing unless you ask to hear from us.

Your rights, wherever you live

Everyone gets the same rights from us: ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it. Write to hello@sitecomb.com and we'll answer within one month.

Those rights come from the EU and UK GDPR, and we give them to customers everywhere, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and US state privacy laws where they apply.

You can also complain to a regulator: in Ireland the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), in the UK the ICO, in India the Data Protection Board, or the authority where you live.

When this page changes, we update the version line at the top. Big changes are announced on the home page first.
